Test Taker Guide

If your test suddenly stops or a message appears indicating that a virtual machine (VM) environment has been detected, some hidden or background programs may still be running.Check your system and close any programs listed below, then restart the test.

If any of the programs below (including those detected by Monito+) are running, please close or uninstall them before proceeding.

  • Make sure to close or remove all VM-related programs listed below.

  • VM drivers may also cause detection issues. Please uninstall the drivers and restart your computer.

Parallels Desktop for Windows

Vagrant

Hyper-V (Built-in for Windows)


Check for programs running in the background or hidden processes.

Uninstall from the Start menu

  1. Select Start > All apps and search for the app in the list shown.

  2. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall.

Uninstall in Settings 

  1. Select Start Settings  > Apps > Installed apps .

  2. Find the app you want to remove, select More  > Uninstall.

From Task Manager

  1. Open Task Manager

    • Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager, or

    • Press Shift + Ctrl + Esc

  2. Check for running programs and end any related tasks.

Remove from Finder

  • Go to Finder > Applications to view installed apps.

    • Drag the app to the Trash,

    • or select it and choose File > Move to Trash,

    • or press Command + Delete.

Quit and Remove from Activity Monitor

  • Open Activity Monitor under Applications > Utilities.

  • Select the app you want to stop, then click the Stop (🅇) button in the top-left corner of the window.

  • After restarting your computer, try accessing the test page again.

  • If the issue persists, disable hardware acceleration and try once more.Go to the Settings menu (top right) → Turn off Hardware Acceleration.

How to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome
  • Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome and go to Settings.

  • In the System section, turn off Use hardware acceleration when available.

  • Click Relaunch to restart your browser.

Can I ask questions in real time during the test?

It depends on the organizer’s policy.If real-time support is available, you’ll see a Help icon at the bottom-right of the test page.

Not all tests provide real-time support, so check the rules and policies in advance and complete the demo test carefully.

Which programs should I close or uninstall?

End or uninstall all programs not related to the test.Pay special attention to apps that use the camera, such as Zoom or AquaNPlayer.

Examples:

  • Security programs: Alyac, V3, banking security software

  • Security modules: TouchEn, Veraport, Wizvera Process Manager, iniLINE CrossEX Service, AnySign4PC

  • Video/camera programs: Zoom, AquaNPlayer

  • Ad blockers: AdGuard, AdBlock, Unicorn

  • Browser-blocking tools: iZicimi, etc.
