  • Check the minimum requirements.You can only connect with a phone that meets or exceeds the minimum specifications.

  • Delete and reinstall the Monito app.

  • Restart your phone.

  • Close all running apps on your phone.

  • Refresh the test page on your PC.

  • If your phone camera lens is dirty, damaged, or unable to focus, the connection may fail.

  • If your phone storage is low, the app may not run properly.Delete unnecessary apps or files to free up space.

When you first launch the app, you will normally be prompted to allow permissions.If you did not see the permission request screen, or if you are having trouble connecting, please check your settings as below.

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Monito

    Allow both Camera and Microphone permissions.

  • After granting permissions, return to the Monito app and try connecting again.

  • The screen may look slightly different depending on your iOS version.

Can I use a phone that isn’t under my name? (Someone else’s phone or a secondary device)

Yes. You can use a phone that isn’t registered under your name.Both another person’s phone and a secondary device are allowed.

I’m getting an error when submitting my ID.

Try these steps:

1. Delete and reinstall the app, then open it.

2. Close all running apps, restart your phone, and try again.

3. Select Other ID and submit.

Accepted ID types vary by test. Please review the test rules carefully.

What should I do if I get a call during the test?

Please ignore any incoming calls. A call may disconnect your mobile camera. If that happens, follow the proctor’s instructions carefully.

If your video connection keeps dropping due to calls or messages, it may be considered an abnormality. We recommend turning on Do Not Disturb mode before starting.

If Wi-Fi is available, you can also enable Airplane mode and reconnect via Wi-Fi to prevent call notifications.

Do I need to disable auto-lock?

While the Monito app is running, your mobile camera stays on automatically, so you don’t need to change the auto-lock setting.

However, incoming calls or emergency alerts may disconnect the camera. We recommend turning on Do Not Disturb mode before starting the test.

I can’t see the “Next” button while connecting the Monito app.

If you don’t see the Start environment recording or arrow (→) button, try reducing the text size in your phone settings.

Android

  • Open SettingsDisplay.

  • Go to Font and screen zoom and adjust the text or display size.

iPhone (iOS)

  • Open SettingsDisplay & BrightnessText Size.

  • Drag the slider to make the text smaller.If the issue continues, go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Display Zoom and set it to Standard.
