What to Prepare

What should test takers get ready before a test?

Each test may have different access methods, devices, and question types. Before starting, carefully review the rules and policies for your specific test.You only need to follow the instructions that apply to your test.

Test A: Connect only the webcam

Test B: Connect both the webcam and mobile camera

Test C: Connect the mobile camera and submit your ID


  • Prepare a stable network connection for an online test.

  • For a smooth experience, use an environment that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

  • If the test requires an ID, check the acceptable ID types and have one ready.

  • Carefully review whether there are any required materials in the test regulations.

  • If video proctoring is not required, you generally only need the PC you will use for the test.

  • Still, confirm if the regulations list any additional required items.

  • Prepare an external or built-in webcam with a working microphone.

    • If the microphone does not function properly, you may not be able to connect the camera.

  • You may not be allowed to move during the test, so connect your charger in advance.

  • Prepare a smartphone that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

  • The phone does not need to be registered under your name.

  • The phone must have network connectivity (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

  • Since many tests restrict movement during the session, make sure your device is connected to a charger beforehand.

  • Install the “Monito” app on your phone.

Do I need a microphone?

Yes. Microphone access is required when connecting your webcam.

If the microphone isn’t working properly, the webcam connection may fail.

Please use a webcam with a built-in microphone.

Do I need an ID?

It depends on the test rules. Allowed ID types differ by test. Please review the rules carefully to confirm whether an ID is required and which forms are accepted.

Can I use a phone that isn’t under my name? (Someone else’s phone or a secondary device)

Yes. You can use a phone that isn’t registered under your name.Both another person’s phone and a secondary device are allowed.
